ELA BAM Accredited Assessors
Wednesday, 22 November, 2017
On 25 August 2017 the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and Biodiversity Conservation Regulation 2017 commenced operation. The legislation carried over many of the processes and protections from the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, but also introduced new frameworks for private land conservation, assessment of development proposals, biodiversity offsets and an accreditation scheme for ecologists.
Eco Logical Australia has since trained 7 experts within the company to become Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accredited assessors under the new NSW legislation. There are also a further 3 staff members who are awaiting paperwork and even more in the pipeline!
Eco Logical Australia has closely tracked the passage of the legislation and has expert ecologists and planners available to help you understand these changes.
